Canadiens’ Patrik Laine out vs. Flames with illness
The 26-year-old has 14 goals and 24 points through 34 games in his first season with the Canadiens. Laine is averaging 14:26 of ice time per night.
He will be replaced by Michael Pezzetta.
After missing the start of the year due to a knee sprain suffered in a pre-season contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Laine returned to the lineup in early December.
The six-foot-four Finnish winger hasn’t found the back of the net in his last four games.
