For centuries, hoomans have used dogs to keep their houses safe. Cats have been labeled as the ones who will let thieves steal everything in your house and maybe even help them. However, we’re here to dispel that stereotype and even suggest that cats may be purrfectly fierce protectors as well. Especially if you have a nice stash of tuna inside the house that is worth saving. Now, you may be saying to yourself, “This guy is full of bologna,” there’s no way our cat would protect us from any sort of thieves, invaders, or wild animals. Well, think again.
While their hoomans were sleeping, one brave black cat actually fought off a wild bear who crept up on their family’s house in the middle of the night. Naturally, the cat was the only one awake and went to square off with the fluffy intruder, who was literally 20x its size, if not more. The heroic feline faced off with the giant black bear…and won! So take that, guard dogs. Cats are the new, furocious protectors of the household, and if you don’t believe us, then maybe the video below will convince you.
