Blockbuster IND vs PAK Champions Trophy Ticket still off-limits as ICC hits ticket snag again with 30 days left

With less than a month to go for Champions Trophy, the announcement for the sale of tickets for IND vs PAK and other matches to be held in Dubai is yet to be made

Uncertainty over the tickets for India cricket team’s Champions Trophy matches in Dubai continues, with less than one month left for the marquee tournament. Rohit Sharma and co. are set to play all their matches at the neutral venue after the ICC adopted a hybrid model for the event. With India set to play at least three matches in UAE, including the high-octane IND vs PAK clash on February 23, the ICC has come under fire for not announcing the sale of tickets yet.

No ticket sales yet for IND vs PAK Champions Trophy clash

While reports had earlier revealed the PCB’s pricing for tickets for games that will be held in Pakistan, there is still no official announcement on the ticket sales for the games in Dubai. India’s clashes against Bangladesh, New Zealand and Pakistan will take place in the UAE and a knockout (semi-final) and final will also be held in Dubai if India qualify for both rounds. As per Gulf News, a total of 18,000 tickets will be available for the high-octane IND vs PAK clash. However, there is no clarity on how many tickets a fan can purchase. Additionally, it is not known if the tickets will be sold online or via booths at the venue.

Meanwhile, the pre-booking on third party websites for India’s games against BAN, NZ and PAK has skyrocketed. There are multiple websites that are offering tickets and even asking users to register in order to pre-book. However, an official announcement is yet to be made.

This is not the first time that there has been a delay in the announcement of ticket sales for an ICC event. In 2023, the ticket sales were announced only 40 days before the start of the tournament.

As per Gulf News, the ticket sales for the matches in Dubai are supposed to be managed by the PCB, with an insider claiming that the board believes it is entitled to keep gate money receipts and hospitality box sales for the games.

The Emirates Cricket Board will obviously advise the ICC and PCB on ticket rates for different enclosures in Dubai and what prices should be charged for hospitality box sales before announcements are made,” the insider said.

PCB’s ticket rates for Champions Trophy games in Pakistan revealed

As per Saama TV, the ticket prices for CT 2025 games in Pakistan range from Rs 620 to Rs 7700. Tickets for games featuring Pakistan are set to be more expensive in comparison to other matches. The prices were revealed for all three venues – Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi. The Pakistan Cricket Board, however, is yet to make an official announcement. It is pertinent to point that the renovation work at the stadiums is yet to be completed, with the PCB having already gone past the deadline on two occasions.
