According to CNN, Biden opted for the dark blue rug that was a staple during the Clinton-era Oval Office, and their darker gold curtains.

Trump had a portrait of Andrew Jackson looking over him.

Back in 2017, Trump was criticized for honoring Navajo veterans in front of the portrait of Andrew Jackson — aka the president whose legislation led to the Trail of Tears.

Now Biden has Benjamin Franklin.

The portrait of Benjamin Franklin — painted by Joseph Duplessis — is supposed to reflect President Biden’s interest in science.

Trump had a bunch of busts around the office, like Abraham Lincoln, Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.*, and Winston Churchill.

*Obama requested the MLK Jr. bust during his presidency. Trump kept it, but apparently moved it to a different part of the room.

President Biden’s director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs is Julie Chavez Rodriguez, the civil rights leader’s granddaughter!

Biden also has lots of pics of his fam bam on his credenza thingy.

Meanwhile, Trump’s credenza thingy seemed to have some old family photos, but mostly his “Challenge Coins.”

While Trump has used many chairs, including the Dark Academia one, he eventually chose this reddish-brown leather chair. Ew!

He also had military flags flanking him on all sides.

Biden put those away.

Anywho, let’s just hope Biden’s team saged the Oval Office in addition to redecorating!
