‘Batman Forever’ turns 30 and we’re partying like it’s 1995

In 1995, we got our first taste of the Joel Schumacher ‘Bat-verse.’ The dark and brooding atmosphere set by Tim Burton and Danny Elfman was replaced by bright blues and neon greens.

But as a ’90s kid, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. On a budget of $100 million the film brought in $336.6 million worldwide. It also helped put the Batman franchise over the billion dollar mark.

30 years later, and this is still the most fun iteration of Batman. And I’ll stand by that statement. Cheers to the late Val Kilmer for this one!
