du Plessis in, McGurk out
DC will be hoping Faf du Plessis will make it to the playing XI for their game against GT
Delhi Capitals will be eyeing to cement their position at the top of the IPL 2025 points table with a win against a formidable GT. After clinching a Super Over thriller against RR in the previous game, Axar Patel and co. will brace themselves for the challenge posed by Shubman Gill and co. in Ahmedabad. DC do not have a lot of concerns over their playing XI barring the misfiring Jake Fraser-McGurk.

du Plessis to return?
It remains to be seen if Faf du Plessis will return to the playing XI after missing the last couple of matches due to injury. While Rahul has continued playing in the middle-order and is acing his role, DC will be worried about McGurk.
The Australian has managed to score just single-digit scores in the last four games, which includes two ducks. Should the Proteas star be fit for the game, he is bound to replace McGurk in DC’s playing XI. Abhishek Porel has managed to fulfill his duties as an opener effectively and will partner with du Plessis.
Karun Nair, who impressed on his maiden outing for DC, fell victim to a run-out in the game against RR. However, he will be looking to rebound quickly from that agonizing dismissal.
