ASC Awards 2025 Winners List
The 39th annual American Society of Cinematographers Awards celebrating 2024’s best in cinematography in seven categories spanning feature films, TV, documentaries and music videos has kicked off Sunday night at the Beverly Hilton.
Deadline is updating the winners list live below.
The ASC’s Theatrical Feature Film prize winner has gone on to claim the Best Cinematography Oscar nearly half of the time — 18 times in its 38 years — including Hoyte van Hoytema for Oppenheimer last year. The Academy Award nominees up for this year’s honor include Lol Crawley (The Brutalist), Greig Fraser (Dune: Part Two) Paul Guilhaume (Emilia Pérez), Ed Lachman (Maria) and Jarin Blaschke (Nosferatu).
All but Guilhaume are in the marquee category tonight, which is rounded out by Alice Brooks (Wicked), Stéphane Fontaine (Conclave) and Phedon Papamichael (A Complete Unknown).
Already tonight, Jomo Fray won the Spotlight Award for his work on Amazon MGM Studios’ Nickel Boys, while Robert Elswit has won the Anthology Series prize for Netflix’s black-and-white-shot Ripley and Richard Rutkowski won the Half-Hour Series prize for Apple TV+’s Sugar starring Colin Farrell.
On the TV side tonight, nominees also include a pair of hourlong shows from Shōgun and House of the Dragon in the One-Hour Series category.
The ASC is also bestowing tribute honors in the ceremony hosted by Ed Helms, including its 2025 Board of Governors Award to producer and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, and longtime Sidney Lumet collaborator Andrzej Bartkowiak with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
