Hallmark Channel’s Christmas at Sea Trailer Sets the Tone for a Breezy July Holiday Celebration

There’s something special about celebrating Christmas at sea, but experiencing it with one of your best friends while surrounded by Hallmark stars? 

That’s a holiday dream wrapped in a bow.

This July, Hallmark Channel is bringing that magic to the screen with Christmas at Sea, a new four-part docuseries that sets sail on Monday, July 7 at 8/7c. 

The series offers a behind-the-scenes look at Hallmark’s very first Christmas Cruise — a floating celebration filled with carols, cocoa, and cozy meet-cutes — and yes, I was lucky enough to be on board for the very cruise they filmed.

While the show “casts” a handful of super fans and couples (you’ll see sweet stories like a surprise proposal and a bestie duo celebrating 46 years of friendship), the truth is, every single person on that ship brought their own spark to the festivities. 

My friend Heidi and I had the time of our lives, soaking in the decorations, the themed events, and that unbeatable Hallmark magic. 

We even posed in front of what I can only describe as the most Instagrammable stack of gifts this side of the North Pole.

Sure, you may not catch us front and center in the docuseries — filming focused mostly on select storylines — but part of the fun when you tune in will be playing “spot the background cruisers.”

(Maybe you’ll spot us grinning like elves in every wide shot. Who knows?)

Each episode of Christmas at Sea captures the joy that only Hallmark can deliver: heartfelt connections, surprise moments, and festive fun.

 The series features appearances from Hallmark favorites, beginning with host with the most Jonathan Bennett, and joined by Tyler Hynes, Benjamin Ayres, Wes Brown, Erin Cahill, Paul Campbell, Taylor Cole, Nikki DeLoach, Sarah Drew, Kimberley Sustad, and Andrew Walker.

If you’ve ever imagined being in a Hallmark movie, well, we inadvertently became part of the festivities.

We saw many of them up close during special events like carol-oke, trivia challenges, and the unforgettable Christmas tree lighting in the middle of the ocean.

And Christmas on Sea will give you front row access. It’s just like being there!

Sisters Victoria and Laura share big news, a family of women embark on a mission to find Hallmark heartthrobs Wes Brown and Tyler Hynes, and Alicia nudges her best friend of 46 years Gail out of her comfort zone.

Meanwhile, Rob reveals a surprise proposal he’s planning for his girlfriend Donna – and when Hallmark stars Paul Campbell and Andrew Walker step in to help, the stakes (and emotions) are raised. Adventure and surprises kick off this unforgettable voyage.

As the Hallmark Christmas Cruise approaches the Bahamas, the adventure kicks into high gear with unforgettable moments and emotional surprises.

Passengers are thrilled to meet their favorite Hallmark stars, but it’s the personal journeys that take center stage. Paige confides in her sister-in-law Alexandra about the emotional news she’s preparing to share with her mother.

Sisters Laura and Victoria chase a dream as they try to pitch their Hallmark screenplay. Alicia encourages her best friend Gail to embrace adventure on an ATV ride  — if Gail doesn’t quit first.

Meanwhile, Rob plans a life-changing proposal to Donna, but begins to second-guess how it will all play out.  

Slay Ride 
Premieres Monday, July 21 at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel, next day on Hallmark+

A heartwarming moment unfolds at sea with a surprise celebration, as Hallmark stars Paul Campbell, Andrew Walker, Nikki DeLoach, and others help bring the joy to life. Meanwhile, Laura’s dream takes flight when she lands a life-changing opportunity with her Hallmark-inspired script.

As the voyage comes to a close, passengers soak in one last day of festive fun, heartfelt connections, and holiday memories they’ll treasure forever.
