Kelly Clarkson and Tyler Posey bond over love of getting naked on show

Kelly Clarkson and Tyler Posey are baring all in a new interview.

Kind of. The “Since U Been Gone” singer and the Teen Wolf star bonded over their love of being naked (or “nekkid,” as Clarkson pronounces it) on Friday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show — much to the horror of Posey’s The Real Full Monty costar Taye Diggs, who could not believe the conversation he was witnessing.

The digression began after the talk show host flashed a photo of Posey posing with his pants down on an open highway behind his motorcycle, which the actor had posted to social media, covering his rump with a skull emoji.

“How freeing was that moment, though?” Clarkson asked.

“So freeing!” he responded.

Clarkson jumped back in with her personal take on donning her birthday suit. “I love being naked,” she said. “I think we are so weird about being naked, especially in this country.”

Posey agreed: “America’s weird about it!”

Clarkson continued, “It’s so weird. It’s just bodies! It’s just alright, yeah! I mean, I think there’s inappropriate ages for certain things, but at some point it’s just like, we’re not that different.”

Posey concurred. “It’s liberating.”

The singer then qualified her stance. “Until gravity takes hold. And then it’s like, ‘Wow, that happened.'”

Posey explained that he took the photo while on a cross-country motorcycle trip with his father, his best friend, and his father’s childhood best friend. “We hit this two-lane highway… we could see cars coming for miles,” he recalled. “We stopped in the middle, and me and my dad’s best friend took our pants down, took a picture. Why not? It felt right.”

“I hope that somebody you didn’t see coming came by,” Clarkson responded. “I’m from the country, and sometimes there’s such long drives, there’s nowhere to go to the bathroom, so you pop a squat, right? So this has happened to me several times, where a car [pulls up] and I’m like, ‘Oh my God!’ Has that ever happened, y’all? Just me?”

Posey said he’d never been in such a situation. “I think as a man, we pee all over the place,” he said. “Or at least, I’m a wolf,” he joked, “so I kind of mark my territory.”

That’s when Diggs had enough. “You guys, you guys, what are we talking about right now?” he interjected, seated next to Posey on the studio guest couch. “What’s going on? I wanna know what’s happening right now.”

“Welcome to The Kelly Clarkson Show,” the host replied.

Diggs and Posey will star in Fox’s The Real Full Monty, a two-hour live television event based on The Full Monty in which they’ll strip all the way down to raise money for cancer testing and research alongside Anthony Anderson, Chris Jones, Bruno Tonioli, and James Van Der Beek. It airs Monday, Dec. 9, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
