WATCH Gully cricket scenes in Jaipur as Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya search for lost ball

Hardik, Suryakumar and Naman Dhir were all in search of a delivery that disappeared over the fence.

Mumbai Indians secured a straightforward win over Rajasthan Royals, making it 6 wins on the bounce. The visitors had little trouble, dominating the Riyan Parag led side in all departments. However, while the victory seemed easy, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya had little trouble, trying to spot a ball in the crowd at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

A truly bizarre incident happened in the second innings of the RR vs MI clash. Dhruv Jurel smashed Karn Sharma for a six over extra cover. The flat six just went over the ropes and disappeared behind the advertising hoardings. With the photographers set up on the boundary, the ball was virtually difficult to spot.

Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya, stalwart Suryakumar Yadav and Naman Dhir all searched for the ball along with the photographers on the scene. It was comical as the wait went longer, reminding many of the scenes in gully cricket. Fortunately, the ball was eventually found and the play resumed.

Hardik-Surya power MI to huge total

While they had trouble spotting the ball on the field, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya had no such trouble with the bat in hand. The duo charged Mumbai Indians to a game-winning 217 batting first in Jaipur. The MI stalwarts scored an identical 48 off 23 balls. Hardik laced his innings with 6 boundaries and a maximum, while Surya hit four boundaries and 3 sixes. Their unbeaten 94-run stand came in just 44 balls, breaking Rajasthan Royals’ spirit.
