Murdaugh Murders Hulu Series Casts Mina Sundwall
EXCLUSIVE: Mina Sundwall (Lost in Space) has been tapped for a major recurring role in Hulu‘s upcoming limited series about the Murdaugh murders.
The as-yet untitled true crime drama series comes from showrunner Michael D. Fuller, who co-created the project with Erin Lee Carr.
The series is based on the true story of Maggie and Alex Murdaugh’s “stranger-than-fiction family drama”, drawn from reporting by journalist Mandy Matney, creator of the Murdaugh Murders Podcast, and insider knowledge from years spent following the case.
Sundwall will play Brooklynn White, Buster Murdaugh’s (Will Harrison) girlfriend, who’s meeting the family during a vacation in the Bahamas.
Sundwall joins previously announced Jason Clarke as Alex Murdaugh, Patricia Arquette as Maggie Murdaugh, J. Smith-Cameron as Marian Proctor, Johnny Berchtold as Paul Murdaugh, Will Harrison as Buster Murdaugh and Brittany Snow as Mandy Matney, along with Noah Emmerich, Kathleen Wilhoite, Tommy Dewey Madeline Popovich, Jessi Case, Jim O’Heir, Mark Pellegrino, NIcholas Cirillo, Patch Darragh and Ryan Paynter.
The series hails from co-creator and showrunner Fuller and co-creator Carr. Nick Antosca and Alex Hedlund executive produce for Eat the Cat along with Mandy Matney. UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, is the studio.
Sundwall is known for her role as Penny Robinson on Netflix’s sci-fi series Lost in Space, which aired for three seasons. She also appeared on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and in films such as Freeheld and Maggie’s Plan, and most recently The Graduates. She’s repped by CESD Talent Agency and Megan Silverman Management.
