Runt of the Litter Hoodwinks His Cat Mom When the Kitten Grows Up to be a 30-lbs Monster Feline (VIDEO)

It’s always a little scary rescuing the runt of the litter. Oftentimes forgotten by their furmoms, runts become lovable by their cat moms instantly, requiring more care and more love than a standard kitten simply for survival reasons. But they’re the smolest, most adorable addition to any family, provided they make it past their first few scary weeks. 

Runts are smol. They’re the kitten in the litter who’s the little survivor—the one who never stood a chance against the world. But sometimes the runty kitten is just the one that didn’t eat so much when they were teensy tiny babies. And sometimes, that runt will grow to surprise you in ways you never imagined. 

The kitten in this next video went viral for a purrfectly plotted surprise. After hoodwinking his rescuer into thinking he was the runt of the litter, he quickly purroved her wrong. With each snacky treat and each cuddle-nap, this cat grew both in love as well as size. To the surprise of his owner, he became the size of a 2-year-old toddler in the span of a few months, growing to 10x the size of his original form. In classic cat-form, he does so in the cutest, most nonchalant way as if to say, ‘Mom, of course I’m extra enormous, you’ve given me extra love and care.’
