Why is it that kittens sleep like perfect little angels all day, only to morph into tiny Tasmanian devils just in time for their midnight zoomie session? I live in a duplex, and the day I moved in, my upstairs neighbor introduced me to his adorable kittens, Waffles and Stitch. One orange, one tabby. The most purrfect duo. Since I moved in, I’ve learned that if I leave my door open, he lets them come downstairs to play in my apartment. Honestly, I could not have asked for a better situation. But as I quickly learned, this house is ancient and I can hear every single thing that goes on upstairs…including, you guessed it, the midnight zoomies. My neighbor’s bedroom is directly above mine, so every night like clockwork I hear those tiny paws thundering across the floor. It’s extremely irritating, but do I still leave my door open every day so they can come visit? Of course. They’re too dang cute to stay mad at.
