22 of the Best Conversations Between Foes in Movie History

There are a number of ways for movie enemies to face off. These days, it’s often with guns drawn, or at least superpowers, but they could also fight with their fists, engage in a good old-fashioned cat and mouse chase or literally take their faces off, as seen in Face/Off.

One of the most satisfying ways that protagonist and antagonist meet, however, is by sitting down for a simple conversation. For Redditor GiveTheLemonsBack, one of the best scenes of this nature is in The Dark Knight, of “Batman interrogating the Joker.” They then asked r/Film for their own “favorite ‘protagonist and antagonist have a conversation’ scene.”
