Josh King and Will Warbrick scored tries for Melbourne in the first half, while Cody Walker crossed for South Sydney.

While the King try had a stroke of luck with the former Knight swooping on a loose ball and burrowing over, the Warbrick four-pointer made light work of the Rabbitohs’ defence.
The Tokyo Olympian barged through Alex Johnston and Isaiah Tass for a simple try on the right edge about 20 minutes into the game.
