Harrison Ford’s first brush with the working world didn’t exactly hint at future blockbuster fame. On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ford shared how he landed a job cooking at a hospital, despite having no idea what he was doing.
Handed a knife and a pile of carrots, he immediately sliced off part of his finger within minutes. “The sew-your-finger-back-on department was right down the hall,” he joked, “and right after that, they fired me for lying about knowing how to cook.”
The short-lived kitchen stint didn’t faze him. Not long after, Ford found his real calling, and the rest is Hollywood history.
