10 Most-Watched YouTube Sketches From ‘SNL’ Season 50

Latin lover Domingo grabbed the top of YouTube’s SNL charts in October and never let go. According to LateNighter, the ubiquitous Marcello Hernández/Ariana Grande sketch became the year’s most-watched within a week of its debut and stayed there for the rest of the season, ultimately piling up 19.1 million views so far.

The only other sketch to come close was Mike Myers’ first appearance as a rabid Elon Musk, with more than 17 million watches on YouTube. Both Domingo and Musk showed up in additional top ten sketches from the season.

Predictably in an election year, political sketches dominated, with Trump-centric cold opens making up half of the top ten. And with all of the attention on Saturday Night Live’s 50th season, the show’s YouTube views mirrored the show’s climbing ratings, with eight sketches reaching the 10-million view mark. Only two of last year’s top ten sketches, Ryan Gosling’s “Beavis and Butthead” and Pete Davidson’s “I’m Just Pete” would have landed on this year’s list.

Here are the year’s top ten sketches, ranked by YouTube views.
